The F22 MSR (Modular Sniper Rifle) is a sniper rifle in service with the ANA.

HistoryEdit

The F22 came to existance through the F13 project. It was originally developed to use 5.56mm or 7.62mm ammunition, but after the introduction of the 7.82 Pyrotechnic round, the ANA opted for that instead. The original prototype F22s (then designated the F14/S) had a picatinny rail over the reciever so the user could attach their own scope, however this was scrapped in favor of the built-in L8 8x Optical Scope, which became standard issue for ANA snipers.

DesignEdit

The F22 MSR is of bullpup design, however the ejection port can be set for either left or right ejection. The frame of the F22 is made of metal, whereas other F13 deratives are usually built from frames consisting mainly of polymer. The F22's pistol grip can be modified for an AUG-style pistol grip. These models are usually designated as the F22 MSR/b.
