Watch Troopers are the bulk of the National League's armed forces. Physically quite strong, Watch Troopers are equipped with small arms such as submachine guns and wear body armour on their chests. They often patrol in large groups and have a tendency to stick together. They are capable of using hand grenades if presented with a considerable threat.

Shock Troopers are the primary unit deployed by the Democratic Front. Typically deployed with handguns and submachine guns, Shock Troopers are usually on the lookout for hostiles and often patrol in groups. If they encounter trouble, they will attract the attention of other groups in the area to assist them.

Coastal Guard are scarcely-encountered troops that guard coastal areas, including Portishead Point. Relatively lightweight, Coastal Guards do not possess a wide array of weaponry but are very agile. Coastal Guards commonly patrol by themselves rather than in groups, but can operate lighthouses that can detect hostiles and alert nearby guards of hostile presence.

Elite Shock Troopers are the elite branch of the Democratic Front's armed forces. They behave similarly to the regular Shock Troopers, but they have the unique ability to deploy drones to hunt and eliminate hostiles. They have slightly more health than regular Shock Troopers. Elite Shock Troopers can be equipped with assault rifles.
